What's The Major Source Of Stress - It's Work Pressures!

A study published in the American Institute of Health found that 44% of US employees were overworked "often" or "very often". Those who rated in the high overworked category were more likely to make mistakes at work, feel angry at their employers for expecting them to do too much, resent their coworkers who didn't work as hard as they did, have higher stress levels, be depressed, have health problems or be neglectful with respect to caring for themselves.

Women are more likely to be overworked than men. Even though men tend to work longer hours, multi-tasking creates more stress for women.

All of this means that we are now experiencing the effects of downsizing in organizations. Employees have too much work to do with fewer people to do it.

This also means that stress management techniques, time management methods, nutritional approaches and exercise become even more important for you to include in your life.

Reducing The Impact Of Stress And Fatigue

Are you feeling stress and fatigue? If so you are not alone. Stress is all around us, from having to work longer hours to driving in rush hour traffic. Having high levels of stress can lead to high blood pressure, digestive problems, difficulty concentrating, impaired immune function and increased risk of disease.

You can now get help reducing your stress and fatigue levels by taking ginseng. There are two varieties that have the most beneficial impact on stress - Panax and Siberian ginseng. Studies done over the past forty years have validated the ability of Panax ginsengs to increase energy level, mood, sexuality, sleep and work performance. Siberian ginseng has been shown to help chronic fatigue syndrome, fatigue levels and repair the body's immune functions.

The recommended dosage for Panax is 75 to 150 mg per day and for Siberian it is 150 to 300 mg per day. The only warning is for Panax ginseng which in high doses can cause insomnia, high blood pressure and heart palpitations.

THE POWER OF STRESS

How powerful an impact does stress have? A study published by a professor at the Harvard School of Public Health looked at 33,000 men and discovered that chronic stress or serious anxiety is a real predictor for sudden cardiac death. Since there is no warning before sudden cardiac death occurs, this becomes good news, because there are many things in my books and other authors' publications that you can do to lighten up and reduce stress.

ADD HEART DISEASE AND EVEN DEPRESSION TO STRESS!

When you are under sustained levels of stress (like getting stuck in traffic jams twice a day), you wind up increasing not only your blood pressure, but you also cause adrenaline to be secreted.
This can lead to increases in heart disease.  The high blood pressure increase the heart's work-load which weakens it over time.  It also can wind up increasing the risk of stroke, heart attack, kidney failure and congestive heart failure.   Depression can also increase risks to the heart.

What do you want your blood level to be?  Optimum levels would be 120 over 80.   You definitely want to keep it under 140 over 90.
