Kids Have Stomach Distress, Consider Using Acidophilus

If you have kids suffering from diarrhea and acute gastroenteritis, consider giving them lactobacillus acidophilus. A report in the journal Cesko-Slovenska found that kids taking acidophilus had a much more rapid recovery than children treated with antibiotics. Complete recovery from clinical complaint occurred earlier and other diseases of the digestive tract improved. If you are going to give your child yogurt as a way for them to have acidophilus make sure the label says that it was made with live cultures. This means the acidophilus was put in after the milk was cooked which means these friendly bacteria were still alive.
