Folate Reduces Risk Of Coronary Heart Disease

A study published in The Journal of Nutrition followed 46,036 men aged 40 to 75 for 12 years. They found that men averaging 840 mcg per day of folate in their diet had a 33% reduction in coronary heart disease as compared to a group that was just taking 244 mcg per day. Folate had previously been found valuable for women wanting to become pregnant as a way of preventing spinal defects. So now it's the men's turn to benefit from folate. Since folate is had to get in our foods, you'll want to take a supplement.
