Massage Your Way Out Of Back Pain

Prevention Magazine reported that researchers at Seattle's Center for Health Studies compared three different therapies with people who had persistent back pain. The therapies were massage therapy, acupuncture and self-care. The best approach was massage which cut the need for painkillers by 36%. While the massage techniques compared included Swedish, deep-tissue, Shiatsu, and neuromuscular, the effects were all similar.

So...if you can't stop your back pain, get a certified massage therapist to do some rubbing on your back. A little rubbing seems to go a long way towards pain relief. You might also consider getting my book, Managing Your Stress: How To Relax and Enjoy since it contains a 2 minute treatment to alleviate lower back pain on yourself or someone else.
