A study published in 1988 in the American Journal of
Obstetrics and Gynecology found calcium can tame the mood swings and depression
caused by premenstrual syndrome. In this study they gave 466 women 1200 mg of
calcium every day for three months. The women's symptoms were reduced by 45%.
A great bonus to this treatment is that women will be
getting some of the calcium they need to have daily. If you are going to do
this remember to take Vitamin D with the calcium since the D is necessary for
the calcium to be absorbed into the body.
