STRESS AND STROKES

There's another reason to reduce your stress.  It can lower your risk of having a stroke.  A study done with women and a separate one with men whose blood pressure and heart rate jumped significantly when they performed stressful tasks in a lab had thicker carotid arteries.  Thickness reduces the flexibility of the arteries.
So, you need to reduce your stress.  A new way to do that which is gaining validity is to simply use your nose.  Studies are showing taking a deep whiff of essential oils, such as lavender, orange or cedar, can lower your stress. And it smells good, too!
