Increasing The Effectiveness Of Rapid Response Alert Systems

alertresponseRapid response alert systems are moving into the 21st Century. New software can now track simultaneously pulse, blood pressure, breathing rate and body temperature.

The software can analyze how these readings relate to one another and can alert the doc before the patient flat lines.

Docs at St Vincent’s Medical Center, Portland, OR are doing research on the effectiveness of this system and are hoping to decrease mortality by 20% and saving 120 lives a year.
