The Fear of Having High Cholesterol Levels Is Debunked

A study published in Expert Review of Clinical Pharmacology found what they called substantial evidence that having high LDL and total cholesterol levels are not an indication of heart disease. They also found that this means that using statins has doubtful benefit.

The researchers found recent studies, as well as previous studies, used misleading statistics, excluded unsuccessful clinical trials and ignored numerous contradictory observations.

Taking this even further, they found that older people who had high LDL didn’t die prematurely. Instead they found these people actually lived longer than those who had untreated low LDL and those on statin drugs.

Finally, another study that looked at 11 statin drug studies found that statin use postponed death by…wait for it…3.2 to 4.1 days.

So,,,how many billions of dollars are people shelling out for prescriptions for statins that are not only useless but also can be harmful due to the side effects of the drug, which include, difficulty sleeping, muscle aches and weakness, dizziness, nausea or vomiting. Finally, statins affect the body’s ability to use CoQ10. Other than all of that, it's a great drug to take (tongue in cheek and fingers crossed).
