Use Calcium To Reduce Polyps That Can Cause Colorectal Cancer

A study published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute found that calcium carbonate can reduce the risk of developing all types of colon polyps. In the study there were 913 patients diagnosed with polyps who were given 1,200 mg of calcium carbonate or a placebo. The most profound change was on those with advanced polyps who lowered their risk to one-third that of the placebo group. So… calcium is now for more than just strengthening bones.
