Melatonin is another way to stop migraines from happening. In a study published in Neurology there were 32 participants taking 3 mg of melatonin 30 minutes before bedtime. After 3 months, 78 percent of the subjects reported the frequency of their migraines was cut in half. Also, the duration of the migraines was shortened in those still having them.
