Solve Problems By Sleeping On Them


Yes, you can just go to sleep and solve your problems. In a study published in Nature researchers taught volunteers two rules to solve a number of puzzles. After they were told the instructions, one group slept for eight hours while the other group was kept awake. A third group was instructed in the morning and then answered the puzzles at the end of the day.

The group that slept eight hours came up with more than twice as many alternative ways to solve the puzzles more quickly than the other two groups.

So...if you have something on your mind, let it stay there and get a good night's sleep.
