VITAMIN RECOMMENDATIONS PRIOR TO SURGERY

If you or someone you know are facing surgery, you can strengthen your immune system in preparation for the surgery. I've given this recipe to many people and the feedback is always that they healed faster than their doctors expected.

You can think of surgery as remodeling a house. Unless you have the construction materials on site, your house will take a long time to be rebuilt. The body is the same way. Unless you have the raw materials for rebuilding the body it's going to take a long time for you to heal. Vitamins and minerals are the raw materials to make sure construction proceeds. So, here they are:

Divide the following dosage recommendations by the number of meals that you eat each day. The vitamins and minerals will absorb better when had in smaller doses. Start taking this 10 days to 2 weeks before surgery. Continue taking it for several weeks afterwards. When you are finished healing, taper slowly off the vitamins. Take a week to 10 days to stop. (Actually, I'd recommend you continue because these vitamins will heal).

1. Vitamin C with bioflavinoids – get 500 mg tablets of Vitamin C with 100 mg of bioflavinoids. Total per day - 2,000 mg C
2. Vitamin E – 800 IU (make sure the label says d-alpha tocoperyls. The "d" is the important piece)
3. Beta Carotene – 75 mg
4. Zinc – 50 mg
5. B-Complex – High potency where most ingredients equal 100 mg per day
6. Multi Mineral – Ask for a high potency one
7. Vitamin A – 50 mg
8. Vitamin D – 800 IU
9. The amino acid arginine – 2 mg three times per day on an empty stomach
10. Bromelain – 1,000 mg (Don't take if you are allergic to pineapple or papaya

To prevent bacteria and viral infections, take Echinacea and Astragalus. Double whatever the bottle says to take.
