Reduce The Risk Of Hearing Loss

hearingloss2A study published in The Journal of Nutrition, Health & Aging reported that people with the highest average intake of Vitamin A had a 47% reduction in the risk of moderate or greater hearing loss and of Vitamin E had a 14% reduction in hearing loss.
 
The researchers believed that reactive oxygen may damage the inner portion of the ear and that these antioxidants may counter the damage and reduce hearing loss.

The study analyzed that date from 2,956 people. While they looked at a range of antioxidants, only Vitamin A and C had a benefit.

So…make sure you are getting sufficient levels of A and E as you age to prevent hearing loss.
