The University of New Mexico published a study reviewing 12 medical studies involving 2,800 women found the herb Black Cohosh to be as effective as estrogen hormone replacement therapy. Black Cohosh does not seem to raise estrogen levels or cause the cell changes that could cause breast or ovarian cancers.
