A More Powerful Way to Eat to Consider

 The Mediterranean diet is quite powerful for health and healing. It’s been recommended as the best overall diet by U.S. News & World Report. If you’re not aware of this approach, you’re eating fruits, veggies, whole grains, legumes and healthy fats like nuts and olive oil. You’re also eating some fish, meat, and poultry.

So, there’s another diet that is known as the Green Mediterranean diet that’s proving to be even better for you as reported in the journal Heart. In this diet the main difference from the Mediterranean diet is that you drink three or four cups of green tea a day and instead of animal protein, the person substitutes mostly plant protein.

Basically, while you’re still eating animal protein, it’s a lot fewer times a week and you’re moving more into a vegan oriented diet.

The researchers in this study had volunteers on these 2 diets plus several others. They found the Green version people had greater weight loss and improved cardiovascular and metabolic risk factors from all the diets.
